In many countries, the amount of crime is increasing.
What do you think are the main causes of crime?

As the social mobility intensifies, it is clear that the social security has become
one major concern for a great number of cities. To combat the mounting crime
rate, we have to understand the rationales behind this social phenomenon and propose
some relevant measures to improve the status quo.
At the root of the social unrest lies the ever-increasing pressure on working
people. Their making a good living is basically achieved at the expense of a
good physical and mental health. In fact, it is scientifically proved that such
a mental distress could account for/is always responsible for dehumanized behaviors
committed by staff overworking themselves either voluntarily or mandatorily. Another
factor boils down to a lack of psychological scaffolding both timely and permanently
to a certain degree. Clearly, if clinical psychologists or inclusive educators are
called upon to provide professional guidance to the potential offenders, devastating
criminal cases would then be prevented, or at least be controlled to a minimal
degree. The third reason is considered to be the indelible household effect. It is
well acknowledged that a large proportion of criminals were born into families where
violence and drug abusing are consistent. Undoubtedly, such unfavorable family setting
will do harm to the early childhood upbringing.
Corresponding measures could be taken to form an ecologically harmonious/benign social
atmosphere. Primarily, businesses should corporate with clinics to offer complimentary
counselling to at-risk employees who need to offset their negative emotions. These
counselling sessions had better to be conducted on a one-on-one basis to ensure
the effectiveness of such psychological rehabilitation. Secondly, it is important to
raise parents’ awareness of the effects the family education may have on the
healthy growth of children. Adolescent delinquency could be greatly checked if parentsmake efforts to add to the positives in the home environment.
To enhance the social stability and endurance, it is apparent that corporations,
professional clinics as well as emerging parents should work/cooperate in tandem.
